Best all around Car Movie – American Graffiti

Now I know there will be those who don’t agree but my choice for best all around car movie has to be American Graffiti.  I mean it is George Lucas’s greatest film, and this is coming from a huge Star Wars fan.

Who can forget  Milner’s 32 Ford or Falfa’s 55 Chevy.

The story of a group of friends in California spending their last night of summer before College is full of all the cruising, racing, shenangins and fun you would expect.

This is the movie that began Harrison Ford’s long career and friendship with George Lucas and this the movie that introduced Suzanne Summers as the mystery Thunderbird girl.

And of course, who can forget the bratty McKenzie Phillips as the annoying kid.  It’s nice to see her before she fried her brains on drugs.

Add in some Richard Dreyfus, Cindy Williams and Ron Howard and you’ve got a top-notch cast to go with those hot cars.
