It Is a Better Planet Because Celebrities Support Environmental Issues Throughout the World

Not many people realize that Leonardo DiCaprio is very dedicated to being eco-friendly through his work, charities, donations, and support.  During the making of Blood Diamond he actually with twenty four orphaned children to help make the village of Maputo, Mozambique a better community for people to live and work.  He has also worked on several films about environmental issues including  the 11th Hour which helped to educate people about the environment.  He serves as honorary chairman of the board of directors for the Pacific Pallisades based Reef Check Foundation.  In 2007 DiCaprio was a presenter for the American leg of Live Earth.
